Whilst not always feasible, I do try to meet my portrait subjects as it helps me get a “feel” for their personality when I am working on the commission. In cases where a meeting is not possible – good quality photographs are essential, please see my section on photography which gives an outline of how to achieve the best possible photograph of your animal.

Timscales

Portraits will, as a guide, take approximately 2 weeks to produce, although this does vary depending on the time of year and my workload. I take great pride in every project and want to provide you with the best possible result. Works of art take time to produce!

Finishing Touches

I can supply the finished portrait with either just a mount or fully framed. Finished size, mounted is 20” x 16” for a single study and 22” x 19” for a multi study. Portraits, if framed will be supplied with a mount and standard antique pine effect frame.
If you have special framing requirements, these can be accommodated, but frame choice can be a very personal matter, often it can be beneficial to liaise with a picture framer who is local to you if you have special requirements. A standard pine frame is included in the price should you choose the frame supplied option.

Delivery

Framed commissions can be delivered in person within a 10 mile radius of Upton free of charge. Delivery between 10 and 50 miles of Upton will incur a small charge. Delivery destinations over 50 miles will be sent via parcel agents/special delivery. Collection in person is very welcome by prior arrangement. Alternatively, if commissions are supplied with just a mount, I will post it to you – carefully packed of course and sent by recorded delivery.
